Dr. Ilavarasan holds a Gold Medal in D.Ortho from Sri Ramachandra University and is a MABMS Member of the Association of Biomedical Scientists, recognized by the Indian Association of Biomedical Scientists. He is an active member of Madras orthopaedic Society, MOS, Tamil Nadu orthopaedic Assn TNOA, Indian orthopaedic Association. His contributions to the field include presentations on the functional analysis of the ankle and foot after Tendo Achilles repair and early rehabilitation in the Indo-German Orthopedic Foundation (IGOF) in Mumbai. Additionally, presented on Frekel’s Bipolar release for Torticollis in the Tamil Nadu Orthopedic Association Conference in Erode and Hip Arthroplasty paper in Vapi, Gujarat

Noteworthy presentations include a paper on Hip Fracture neck of femur comparison between Total Hip replacement and Bipolar arthroplasty presented in Eurasian Orthopaedic Forum , Kazan, Russia.

Dr. Ilavarasan’s international exposure involves training in Joint Replacement Surgery in Germany, enabling him to perform Total Knee Replacement and Total Hip replacement at international standards. His expertise extends to Arthroscopy, with training in Korea, where he mastered minimally invasive keyhole surgery for sports injuries. Further enhancing his skills, he completed his fellowship in Japan in Revision Joint replacement, specializing in reconstructing failed and complex joint disorders
