Dr. Sumanth finished his training at Kanchi Kamakoti CHILDS Trust Hospital in Chennai, spending 18 months in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. His dedication to serving the underserved community led him to Mahaswami Rural Telemedicine Services, offering medical care to those in need.

Dr. Sumanth, currently a Senior Consultant in Pediatrics at Kanchi Kamakoti CHILDS Trust Hospital, has a special focus on respiratory medicine, asthma, allergy, and infectious diseases. He stays updated by attending conferences and certifications. Teaching pediatricians at the hospital has been a passion of his since 2011.

Dr. Sumanth is a highly accomplished writer with numerous publications in national and international journals. His collaborative works, such as ‘Pediatric Infectious Diseases,’ ‘Treatment and Prognosis in Pediatrics,’ and ‘Frequently Asked Questions in Pediatrics,’ are widely used as textbooks in academic settings. One of his notable contributions to pediatric medicine includes a pilot study on Iron Deficiency Anemia, Vitamin D Status, and Health Awareness among rural children in Tamil Nadu, conducted in 2014 under The CHILDS Trust Medical Research Foundation. The findings from this study are currently under review by the Tamil Nadu State Planning Commission.
